Youth & Outdoor Ministry in Nebraska brings young people and leaders together through camps, retreats, and shared formation experiences — creating community, belonging, and space for faith to take root. YOMC is a joint ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Nebraska and the United Church of Christ in Nebraska, coordinated by Holly Gage.
Kaleo on the River
Nebraska Disciples and UCC congregations have deep roots with Kamp Kaleo — now Kaleo on the River — an independent camp ministry with a long history of partnership with both denominations. Kaleo’s mission is to foster authentic connections to self, others, nature, and faith, and to create an accessible, sustainable sanctuary of belonging rooted in love and acceptance. It is a place where Nebraska young people have encountered God in creation, in community, and in one another for generations.
Beyond summer camp, YOMC supports retreats, gatherings, and faith formation opportunities for youth and leaders throughout the year. Details are posted as events are scheduled — check back or contact Holly to stay in the loop.
