Connecting, encouraging, and equipping Disciples Women across Nebraska and the wider church.
Disciples Women in Nebraska
Disciples Women is one of the oldest and most enduring expressions of the Christian Church — a network of women gathered for justice, spiritual formation, and leadership development since 1874. In Nebraska, that network connects through local congregational chapters, regional gatherings, and the wider community of Disciples Women across the denomination. Angie Emons coordinates Disciples Women in Nebraska, helping women connect, encourage one another, and live out their faith together.
Nebraska Disciples Women gather across the state — in local congregational chapters, at regional events, and through shared connection that sustains the ministry of women in the life of the church. Whether your congregation has an active chapter or you’re looking to connect for the first time, there is a place for you here.

Since 1874, Disciples Women’s Ministries (DWM) has worked to grow awareness of the need for women’s missions and ministry worldwide. We accomplish this through focusing on justice, spiritual formation, and leadership development. These pillars are how DWM works to help women develop a sense of personal responsibility for the mission of the Church in the world. Based on Micah 6:8, DWM is a conduit for diverse connections, empowering each woman to find her voice and live out her call. As part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), DWM welcomes all to the table as Christ has welcomed us. Ultimately, we are a network of women committed to the justice-seeking, compassion-focused mission of Jesus Christ with no membership requirements or conditions.
