We Are the Christian Church in Nebraska

Who We Are

The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.

What It Means to Be Disciples in Nebraska

We are a people learning to follow Jesus by living in faithful relationship with God and our neighbors—near and far. In that shared life, we practice a faith rooted in Scripture and formed at the Table. We build community, honor the beauty of diversity, and work together across difference. We make space for creativity and worship shaped by joy. We are a covenant people—held together in Christ, united not by sameness, but by shared belonging in God’s grace.

In Nebraska, that covenant stretches across a wide land—from cities to rural communities, from soaring sanctuaries to faithful country churches. We are a small region, but our welcome is wide: there is room at this Table for the lifelong member and the first-time visitor, the farmer and the newcomer, and we mean it. Out here, faith is neighborly, stubborn, and generous—and no one worships alone.
