Christian Church in Nebraska

Disciples Men is a cooperative effort between the Office of Disciples Men and the Men’s Discipleship Council (formerly, General Conference of Disciples Men). The Office of Disciples Men (ODM) consists of the Director, Greg Alexander, and the Associate Director, Alex Ruth. The directors are resourced by Ministry Associate Kelly Harris, who lends her considerable assistance to the work of Disciples Men (as well as several other ministries at DHM). The Mens Discipleship Council (MDC) is comprised of three men from each of the five geographic regional clusters, two representatives from the National Convocation, Obra Hispana, and North American Pacific/Asian Disciples and one representative from the Center of Indigenous Ministries. The Executive Committee consists of the President, President-elect, Secretary Treasurer, and three members-at-large.

Our combined mission is to empower men to discover and fulfill their potential as servants of God. This, in turn, strengthens the witness of the total ministry of the church.

How to Start a Disciples Men’s Ministry

Disciples Men is excited to highlight the first installment in the Pathway to Blessing series: Foundational Ancestors, an eight-session small group study designed to help men deepen their faith, strengthen their relationships, and grow as spiritual leaders in their communities. Participants will engage with early biblical characters and deepen their understanding of faith and identity through the study of these men.

If your congregation seeks a meaningful way to foster men’s spiritual growth, expand leadership capacity, and cultivate deeper relationships, Foundational Ancestors provides a powerful starting point. The full study, along with guidance for facilitators and information about upcoming materials, is available through Disciples Men on the website. For more information, training opportunities, or support in launching a men’s group, please contact Rev. Dr. Alex Ruth, Director of Disciples Men.
