In keeping with The Design of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Regional Churches are responsible for reviewing and certifying the Standing of all ordained and commissioned clergy living in their Region each year.

All Commissioned and Ordained Ministers who have been granted Standing and are listed in ALEX/Yearbook may call upon the Christian Church for services, support, references, relocation assistance, denominational endorsement, and scholarship aid.

This year there are two ways to complete the Request for Standing Form:

1. Google Form—an individual link will be sent that can allow you to complete your ministerial standing form from any device with an internet connection.
2. Hard copy—mailed to Clergy for whom we do not have an email address and/or who request a hard copy be mailed so that you can complete and mail back to us.

All clergy, ordained and commissioned, are asked to complete the same form. Commissioned ministers will be contacted to schedule a conversation with the Regional Minister and/or the Center on Church Leadership.

Please note that if you elect to utilize the ‘Fillable Standing Form’, you will need to save the file upon completion for the progress in the form to become permanent. We ask that you save the file as follows: “First Name” + “Last Name” + “2026 Standing Form”. Upon completion you’ll want to email that newly saved file to the Regional Office!
